MULTIWAY MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Measurements guide for adults and children.

Please take all measurements in inches and round up to the closest inch.

  • Bust - to be taken around the fullest part of the bust, ideally with a bra on.

  • Waist - this should be around the top of the waist which is a couple of inches below the bra band (please see photo guide below).

  • Length - from the top of the waist to the floor. Please include any extra inches needed for heels if applicable. If you do not want floor length please take the tape to where you would like the hem to sit.

  • Optional leg slits - our recommended leg slit is above the knee and starts approx 14” down from the waist band. Custom slit lengths are also available on request.

All dresses will have a raw hem so if you are not sure of heel height, or wanting to add extra inches to length for children’s gowns to allow for growth spurts they can be very easily made shorter with no stitching needed.

Please note all waist bands are super stretchy and allow approx 2 dress sizes give up or down so there is plenty of room for movement in size once you have submitted measurements. For toddlers and infants I would advise against floor length to allow them to walk with confidence. If you have any bridesmaids who are expecting and therefor unsure on what size they would be on the wedding date please see our top tips below.

Top tips for measuring:

  • Always use a new fabric tape measure as these can stretch over time!

  • If you have a fuller or curvier shape I would recommend adding some extra inches to your length. This also applies for any ladies who are expecting and will still be pregnant at the wedding, as this allows the skirt of the dress to flow nicely and reach the floor. For pregnant bridesmaids we also recommend adding 1-2” to bust and waist.

  • Add extra inches to allow for heeled shoes.

  • Add an extra inch or two to the length of children’s dresses to allow for some growing room.

This is simply a guide for you to follow. If you are unsure of the length or if you wish for the dresses to touch the floor it is best to add an inch or two, as they can very easily be shortened.

Please note we do not offer an alterations service.
